Jessica Joy

Jessica Croft is a mixed media artist residing in southern Alabama. At the heart of her work is the intention of resourcefulness - using what is found or already exists in the world to create meaningful interesting new work. All the paper and textiles in her work come from local thrift stores, estate sales or from friends and family.

 Jessica first started paper collage in 2017, creating with books her kids read to pieces but she couldn’t bear to toss. Today, her practice involves both paper collage and textile collage. The medium is different but the idea is the same - using what is found around her. She is always interested in how color, pattern and texture interact together.

 Jessica resides in her hometown of Mobile with her husband and children.
